Polarized SuperThin Glass | Born in Hawaii
Plain frame, loud color. Okina is a straightforward rectangle: 55mm eye, 15mm bridge, 145mm temples, 4 base, cut for a medium face. Maui Jim left the shape alone rather than styling it.
The colorway does the talking. The front is fully transparent, deep olive-green across the browline, washing out to a pale yellow along the bottom rim. Nothing else on the frame competes with it.
Lenses are SuperThin Glass in Maui HT, Maui Jim's High Transmission tint. HT is the one built for flat light: overcast mornings, tree cover, the last hour of the afternoon, where a darker gray lens takes away more than it gives.
